Account & Data Deletion
Last updated: August 17, 2026
The short version. HabitWin is local-first and needs no account, so almost everything lives on your device: deleting the app deletes it. If you signed in for cloud backup, you can delete your account and everything synced with it from inside the app, or by emailing us.
What exists, and where
- On your device only: your habits, check-ins, notes, journal entries, moods, reminders, statistics, settings and any profile photo. Health data read from Apple Health or Health Connect is processed here and never uploaded.
- On our servers (only if you signed in): your account identifier, the email address from your Google or Apple sign-in, your synced habit data, and your subscription entitlement record.
- Held by us for support (with or without an account): any feedback messages you sent, the random installation identifier attached to them, and a push token if notifications are enabled.
- Held by the stores: your purchase and subscription history is held by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.
Step 1 — delete the data on your device
- Delete the app. Uninstalling removes the app's on-device database and any copied profile photo; or
- Delete individual habits and entries from inside the app, and export first if you want a copy (Settings → Export).
Step 2 — delete your account and synced data
- In the app: open Settings, go to your account, and choose Delete account. This removes your account and the habit data synced with it from our servers.
- By email: write to junaid.mohammed777@yahoo.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm ownership, and we will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Deleting your account removes your account identifier, email address and synced habit data, except where we must keep limited records to comply with legal, tax or fraud-prevention obligations. Anonymous, aggregated usage counts that cannot be linked to you may remain.
Step 3 — revoke health access (optional)
- iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → HabitWin → turn off all categories.
- Android: open Health Connect → App permissions → HabitWin → remove access.
Your data inside Apple Health or Health Connect itself is unaffected and remains yours.
Important: subscriptions are separate
Deleting the app or your account does not cancel an active subscription:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → HabitWin → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → HabitWin → Cancel.
